    Description

Back in 2004 Cenqua announced (see http://www.cenqua.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=933 ) that "... We definitely have plans to improve FishEye's server-friendly-ness (start/stop scripts, etc). ... We are looking to implement such functionality in the next beta (0.4) or the one after ..."!

I do understand that the Java Wrapper software from Tanuki Software (http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org ) works very well - we can find quite useful hints that do work in the above mentioned forum thread. I assume that most of the FishEye enterprise customers use this software w/o problems (can not imagine that in serious enterprise installations FishEye is started manually from the command line), so from that perspective all is OK.

Nevertheless I am raising a "New Feature" Issue with critical priority for the following reason:
I expect from Atlassian to support OFFICIALLY the "Service Wrapper" startup fro FishEye.

I do not know if Atlassian-Cenqua should reinvent the wheel and write the equivalent code again (licensing?), but my expectation is that this feature will become part of the official distribution very soon / the advices in forums are nice and do work, but for a commercial application we need the official support guarantee
