Ability to add a default mapping for subversion author to username

    • 4
    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Currently you need to add a mapping for each repository, however in most cases the author name in svn does not change across multiple repositories, so it would be good to add a default mapping from your fisheye username to repository author name.

While we are at it we should allow multiple default mappings, e.g. parthak, partha, should be mapped to my fisheye username pkamal. If either of these usernames appear in any of the repositories, they should be mapped to me.

      Kind Regards,
      Partha Kamal

            Atlassian Update – 19 May 2020

            Hi everyone,

thank you very much for reporting this suggestion and your involvement in the conversations around it. This suggestion is in the 'Reviewing' state which means it awaits assessment by our team.

As Fisheye and Crucible have entered basic maintenance mode, our team currently focuses more on bug-fixes and platform updates rather than on feature development. We may still deliver some small improvements if they fit into the maintenance theme. However, suggestions which have been assessed already and are in the Under consideration state have higher priority.

It means it may take time until we review this suggestion and decide whether to put it on the roadmap or reject it. You can expect an update from us in couple of months. Atlassian will continue to watch this issue for further updates, so please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

            Kind regards

We have changed our Windows Domain name, so now the old commit names which included the old domain names and the new commit names for every user of Fisheye is shown in the activity of the last month.

Ideal would be the option of a general mapping like remove the domain name fro the committer username, that would solve our problem with one mapping rule. Or at least ad the opportunity to define a default mapping for a user, so that a user must not create a mapping for every repository.
