I've just looked up the "lkolker" account, and I can tell you why you can't modify the details: it's in the Atlassian-Staff directory, and for security reasons EACJ does not have the rights to modify those accounts.
I'm afraid that, not knowing you in person, I'm not game to change an Atlassian-Staff email address away from @atlassian.com. Either Charles or Steve can modify the account for you.

added a comment - Yes, I'm still having a problem. The user account I'm having trouble with is 'lkolker', which was a Crowd generated account that was created for me (I don't remember when or by who.)
I just attempted to change the email address, and it resulted in a PropertyException.

- Create new test account "aardvark"
- Log in
- Click on Profile
- Click on Edit Profile
- Change Full Name
- Click Update
Everything appears to work as expected. Can you confirm that you can still see the problem?
