Description
There is a plugin on Marketplace used to clean stale users out of delegated directories to optimize Crowd's license usage (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218630/delegated-directory-pruning-for-crowd). It's developed and maintained by Atlassian. As this plugin seems to be popular it'll be reasonable to make it part of Crowd's standard distribution. Users won't have to install it manually from Marketplace.
