Crowd is currently not offered with any standard OS packaging, and makes life difficult for admins.
The attached SRPM provides both an RPM spec file and init script for JIRA.
The atlassian-crowd-3.0.1.tar.gz download is compressed twice for some reason - gunzip the file until the raw tar file remains, and place the raw tar file atlassian-crowd-3.0.1.tar into the SOURCES directory. Build the final RPM by running "rpmbuild -bb atlassian-crowd.spec".
The following RPMs will be created:
atlassian-crowd-3.0.1-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm
atlassian-crowd-openid-client-webapp-3.0.1-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm
atlassian-crowd-openid-server-webapp-3.0.1-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm
atlassian-crowd-webapp-3.0.1-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm
