Groups tab under applications takes time to load when number of groups is large

      Summary

      When viewing the groups tab of an application in Crowd . The time taken to load this tab is high when the number of groups is large eg: 5000+. This does not happen in Crowd 2.7 .

      Environment

      Crowd 2.8+

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Add a crowd application
      2. associate a directory to this application which has 5000+ groups
      3. Try to access the groups tab

      Expected Results

      The tab should load quickly

      Actual Results

      The tab takes time to load around 30 seconds for 5000 groups , this increasing with the number for groups

            Crowd 3.1.0 will use a new UI to pick groups allowed to authenticate to the application, which will not load all the groups.

            Don't know if related to this bug but I am experiencing problems when trying to open the members tab of a group that has close to 10 000 members. I just receive a white blank page (most likely time out) when trying to open the "Direct members" (or Nested members) tab.
