Show relationships between nested groups and parent groups

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

The "View Group" page currently shows the sub-groups included in the current group. It would be very useful to also have the list of the groups that include the current group. That can be of great help when you have to manage complex hierarchies of nested groups.

This is starting to become a fairly big problem not being able to easily identify where groups or users are nested. An easy and clear nesting route is vital to keeping projects separate and licence usage under control.

            Agree.

In AD (and any other platform like this) you can see both members (which you can see in Crowd) but also Members Of (which does not exist in Crowd).

For groups coming from AD/LDAP, we can go back to the source to get this info, but it's slow. But for groups purely managed in Crowd, you either need to go to the parent group direct, or, if you're unsure, query via SQL.
