The fix for CWD-2760 relies on the fix in Apache DS for DIRSERVER-766 in 1.5.1 (released November 2009). This can result in membership definitions being treated (incorrectly) as case- or whitespace- sensitive. The fix is to upgrade to a current Apache DS. A workaround would be to ensure all groups and memberships are consistent in case and spacing.
