The CrowdService bean that will be exposed in JIRA and Confluence should be exposed in Crowd so that it's easier for plugin developers to write cross-product user-management plugins.
The trick with this issues is .... what do you tie the embedded crowd stack to in Crowd.
Embedded Crowd has an ApplicationFactory.getApplication() interface. Would it be expected that a call to this within Crowd, would simply return Crowd itself as the application?
