      Start Supporting Oracle 11g

            [CWD-1709] Add Oracle 11g Support

Excellent timing. I can use version 2.5 for our production roll out then.

Is there any update on this? Oracle 11g has been around for a long time, any idea when crowd will support Oracle 11g?

Hi Thomas; if you can file a bug with details of the issues you've encountered importing users from JIRA then we'll make sure that's investigated before signing off on this one.

            Thanks.

            Hi,
we've had issues with importing users and memberships from jira to crowd.
At the moment we think it occurs because of the 11g-database.
While this issue is not fixed, we can't use crowd in our production environment.

As part of investigating support, I ran Crowd 2.3.4 against Oracle XE 11.2.0 using ojdbc6.jar 11.2.0.3.0 without seeing any issues. I used the Oracle 10g dialect.

As the CROWDKB article indicates, there may be a problem after upgrading from 10g to 11g; I haven't tested this scenario.

Full support would require testing this upgrade, automating an acceptance test and updating the UI to indicate that dialect is for 10g and 11g.

Hi, we want to implement crowd within this year but we also want to updgrade our Oracle-Databases to 11g. When will be the relase date for Crowd 2.4 including oracle 11g support?

Please add support for 11g since all other Atlassian products support it.

This does make things difficult especially in the light that Confluence 3.5 is not backwards compatible with 10g so in order to upgrade our apps to current versions we have to keep 2 versions of oracle going.
