Crucible doesn't understand git diffs

    • Affects Version/s: 2.7.11
    • Component/s: None
    • Environment:

      FE/Crucible 2.7.11 running standalone on Debian 6.0.4.

I've just tried uploading a patch created by git (using git show), but it looks like Crucible doesn't understand the prefixes in the diff properly. I had two directories at my top level called "a" and "b". Clearly, it's not stripping out the 'a/' and 'b/' prefixes added by git.

Uploading a patch generated with the --no-prefix option makes it work, but it would be nice if Crucible could understand diffs containing a prefix too (it's fairly standard for patches to have prefixes in their filenames - this is why the patch tool has the -p option).

I originally thought this was the reason that Crucible couldn't "anchor" the patch to my repository, but looks like this was CRUC-5928 instead.
