Atlassian Security Monitoring and Alerts plugin Enabling/Disabling Alerts

      There is an option to exclude alerts from the Atlassian Security Monitoring and Alerts plugin to prevent getting unnecessary emails by adding system property as described in the below documentation;

      Monitor security threats

      It would be great to have a configuration menu on Confluence to enable/disable alerts via UI.

            I also support this issue, since after a test-upgrade from 8.5.8 to 9.2.1, I could not find such a plugin in the app management. Thank you.

            Atlassian Security Monitoring and Alerts

            search for this app in "manage apps" (system) and disable it. (this will not be possible in future releases)

             

            for more detailed disablement of single events you can set a system property in setenv.sh such as

            Confluence:

            CATALINA_OPTS="-Dplugin.lighthouse.disabled.alert.types=admin-user-logged-in-without-2sv ${CATALINA_OPTS}"

            or

            CATALINA_OPTS="-Dplugin.lighthouse.disabled.alert.types=all ${CATALINA_OPTS}"

            JIRA:

            JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS="-Dplugin.lighthouse.disabled.alert.types=admin-user-logged-in-without-2sv"

            or

            JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS="-Dplugin.lighthouse.disabled.alert.types=all"

            This is a must have feature for such component which can be desable without stoping the intance and in a simple way. This to avoid placing this all list of alert excusion as system parameters and avoid beeing spoiled by too much email as spam. Especially when the action is done by a system admin who knows what he is ususually doing
