Issue Summary
PDF space export changes/encodes the page title/heading when special characters/symbols(like <>&) are present in the page title. The special characters in the title are altered into their XML-encoded form.
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Setup Confluence (used 8.9.2 & 8.5.10 for testing)
- Create a test page with title containing special characters like <>&
- Go to Space tools > Export > PDF > Custom Export(Check only the page with special characters in the title) > Export > Download PDF
- Go back to the test page and observe the title/heading
Expected Results
The page title should remain the same as it was prior to the PDF space export. Please find below the screenshot of the original page.
Actual Results
The page title gets changed and shows encoded version of the special characters. Please find below the screenshot of altered page posy PDF space export.
Workaround
Manually rename the affected page after PDF space export

Hello. I found that this is not reproducible/fixed in Confluence 8.9.4 and 8.5.12
