The HTML Include macro is only documented briefly in a page on enabling it at http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Enabling+the+html-include+Macro

The user guide should contain an entry on the HTML Include macro with screenshots. If ~~CONF-6567~~ has not been resolved, it may also be useful to mention that the macro can only be used for pages with absolute links.

For http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Enabling+the+html-include+Macro the instructions for enabling the macro on version 1.0.3 and earlier should be archived.
