Problem Definition
- Adobe provides the ability to link to a specific page in PDF.
- However, when appending the #page=# as recommended by Adobe, it only links to the PDF itself, and not the specified page.
- Example suggested URL: http://CONFLUENCE-INSTANCE-URL/pages/worddav/preview.action?fileName=File-Name.pdf&pageId=000000#page=3
Suggested Solution
- Permit a way for a user to select a specific page in PDF and link to it, such as with the Insert Link option in the editor.
- Here, you can select an attachment for linking. Something could be added when you select a PDF document where you can also specify a page from here.
Why this is important
It's a built-in feature that Adobe has so we can take advantange of this and program it into Confluence for better ease of use.

{panel:bgColor=#e7f4fa} *NOTE:* This suggestion is for *Confluence Server*. Using *Confluence Cloud*? [See the corresponding suggestion|http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-7941]. {panel} Here I want to open an uploaded File on a specified page, (called Medialibrary). On that page, (Medialibrary) are all uploaded Files for confluence. Now I want to point to one of those files and directly to page 4. -- In the first Solution it works, but only if I copy the Link when I open the uploaded file. -- In the second Solution it does not work. I want to do this with that syntax described in the solution 2 (Medialibrary^). This is much easier, then I dont have to open first the uploaded file, mark the Link, and paste it as it is in the solution 2. Solution 1: [PDF-File on Page 4 | http://bkwebt:8081/download/attachments/655448/EVA+Best+Practise.pdf#page=4] Solution 2: PDF-File on Page 4 | Medialibrary^EVA Best Practise.pdf#page=4] ==> I already had contact with one of our colleges from the support. His name is Jonathan Nolen [mailto:jonathan@atlassian.com]. He told me, that I should open an enhancement request for it. Thanks for get me an answer as soon as possible.
