XMLWordPrintable

    Issue Summary

The custom dropdown menu for the Subscribe to calendar modal in the calendar section is announced inappropriately.

    Screen Recording

    Subcribe modal .mov

    Steps to Reproduce

    1. Launch the URL
    2. Navigate to the main content area where the calendar for the space is present.
    3. Activate the "Subscribe button"
    4. After activating the Subscribe button a modal will appear "Subscribe to calendar".
    5. Keeping the Screen reader navigating into the modal.

    Actual Results

In the Subscribe to calendar modal when the screen reader navigates into the custom dropdown menus for "Calendar" and "Calendar app", it is announced as an edit text input field for the screen reader users. As a result, screen reader users cannot access the information effectively.

    Expected Results

The dropdown content should be announced appropriately for screen reader users with the labels associated with it.

Provide an role="combobox" to the div element.

Here is an example to make the custom dropdown menu more accessible. : https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-practices-1.2/examples/combobox/combobox-autocomplete-list.html
