Two things that would make complete confluence as a corporate intranet/knowledgebase/collaboration tool

      • An Address book per (global AND per space)
      • A Calendar (global, per person and per space) to organize events, appointments, meetings etc

[CONFSERVER-7004] Address Book and Group Calendar Support

Outlook and Thunderbird have a corporate address book that can read from an openldap server. It would be nice to have a tool in confluence that can read/write from/to an (openldap) address database.
I want to use it to maintain the corporate address book and to create hyperlinks from wikipages.

            Kind Regards

Sorry. Just additionally. It looks weird to pay for corporate collaboration solution, which has almost everything that copmany needs BUT HERE, I NEED COMPANY needs to by Microsoft Exchange Server to support this small feature as corporate address book.

            Hello Atlassian Team,

Regarding corporate calendar feature. I have just faced against the request from our management to bring up corporate calendar and corporate address book. Okay, with calendar - we have Team Calendar and it is okay. But there is no any possibility to get contacts from Confluence. In fact, Confluence has become as a storage of information about company, company's employees, partners, customers, product information, documentation and so on and so forth. As well each user can configure its own profile including email address, phone number, Chat software IDs, Department.

From here, I would say, to install one more service with LDAP where the situation that confluence ALREADY has this information, including permissions and restriction.

And it would be complete solution to have built-in LDAP server (it is not a complicated thing) that allow for popular email clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird, .... . integrate with Confluence corporate address book.

I have gathered regarding this topic - found only this issue. Would be nice to hear your response. Maybe some solution already exists to through out user information over LDAP for mail clients.

            Kind Regards.
