In our case, I generated the images from the source using snagit instead of from word document and that solved it.

So is there any correction for this issue, or is it a lost cause?

            Hi,

I have confirmed that if I attach the sample GIF into a page in my test instance, it is visible as expected in the PDF export. I will close this bug report until we can obtain steps to reproduce from the affected users.

Kiran and Leeann, I recommend that you go to http://support.atlassian.com and create a new, private support ticket. Please attach:

            1) A zip of your Confluence logs
            2) Wiki markup for the pages
            3) PDF
            4) Screenshots of the page view

Please reference this bug report as well.

            Cheers,
            David Soul

We are also experiencing a problem with gif files not rendering properly in pdf. It appears that the black txt is appearing white and the white text black.
I have attached a sample file where this problem is occurring.
            Thanks, Leeann Reynolds
