    Description

When editing a page, Confluence will only allow you to mention users (starting with "@") that are cosuming a Confluence license. For example, in our organization Confluence is used for recording meeting minutes and many meeting participants are not active Confluence users. So it would be very unfair to need more licenses just to be able to mention them in a page that can also be viewed by any anonymous user (if the page is not public, the mentioned user needs to login anyway).

I believe this feature could even attract more users to Confluence over time, as they may be motivated to login for commenting or correcting pages where they were mentioned.
