After creating a complex table with the RTF editor, the wiki markup can become a bit impentrable and dificult to work with. A wiki markup tidy or lint utility function would be very useful, especially once table nesting appears.

            [CONFSERVER-6307] Lint for wiki markup?

Given that there has been no increase in customer demand for this in 4 years, we don't can't see ourselves implementing this in the foreseeable future. Marking this as won't fix.

I prefer editing markup directly too. The issue is editing tables that have been created and edited with the RTF editor, which as a partially sighted person I find very challenging

It's only going to become even more fun with nested tables.

            Hi Rob,
there is no present intention to implement any sort of a "lint" for the
MarkUp as the power of it is in the textual representation of simple
graphical elements and tags, in your case tables etc..
Hence, the use of Rich text editor exists to assist you with development
of pages in your space that require "visible" effort, although many of
us still prefer the MarkUp language.
            Thanks for writing to us,
            Ivan
