      We've just upgraded to version 2.2. Prior to this users were able to edit their profile details and change their homepage. Now the edit my profile tab does not allow any editing. See the attached screen shot.
      BTW, we are using JIRA's user DB for Confluence users.

            We resolved the problem - it was with global layouts.

            The problem was that the default global layout is very different between 2.1 and 2.2. We had made only slight modifications to the default in 2.1 but having this layout in place in 2.2 caused the issue.

            I went to the "Look and Feel" area where we had defined a Custom Global Layout. I reset this to the default and now my "Edit Profile" tabs have reappeared solving the problem.

            I still can't replicate this issue, and the file you've uploaded are identical to mine.

            Does the problem occur for all users? If not, is there something different about the users which have the problem?

            Is it possible for you to raise a case on http://support.atlassian.com, and attach a backup of your site? Hopefully with an export of your configuration, we'll be able to replicate the problem here.

            As far as I am aware we are not using a custom decorator. I went to the Site Theme page where the current theme is set to the default theme.

            I checked the atlassian-jira-enterprise-3.5-standalone\logs folder and no change in any log file was trigged by editing my profile. Does this suffice or should I also check files in the confluence directory?

            I've attached those two files.

            That's a very unusual screenshot. The menus on the left are simply not being displayed. I'm unable to replicate this problem, however, using a clean 2.2 install.

            Are you using a custom decorator (via a custom theme, perhaps) for Confluence? We changed the way menus work in 2.2, and some themes may not have been updated with the changes.

            Could you please attach copies of the following:

            • any errors in the log files when you browse the 'Edit My Profile' page
            • confluence/decorators/global.vmd
            • confluence/users/editmyprofile.vm
