Companion App stops opening the long file name document

      Issue Summary

      How many characters are allowed in a file which you want to edit via Companion App?

      Test Environment

      • Confluence Server latest version
      • Compaion-app latest version

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a test page then upload attached csv file to the page invitations_successful_emailaddresses051119_99999999999999999999999999999999dijwsoijdiowsejoijodjeojfdoijfdwejfdjweofjowejfoijwejfoiwejfojwejfhwehfiowehfoihweifohweofhwefhwfoihwefohweoh.csv
      2. Navigate to the page > ... > Attachments
      3. Select the file then click Edit > Edit with Excel

      Expected Results

      The file should be able to open in the Excel

      Actual Results

      We can see the message This file is open in Excel but nothing really happening

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

      Note

      • We are able to directly open the csv in Excel
      • Shorter filename works as expected

            A fix for this issue is available in Companion 1.1.0. View the Release Notes to see what other issues are resolved.

            If Companion is installed via the MSI, then it will need to be manually updated to the new version.
