Description
Issue Summary
Cannot add an empty task list (so it shows just the tick box) to Confluence editor when Collaborative Editing is disabled.
Works when Collaborative Editing is enabled
Environment
- Affects Confluence 6.14+ - v4 Editor
- Does not affect Confluence 6.13.x - v3 Editor
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Confluence 6.14.0
- Disable Collaborative Editing
- Add a task list but with no text (so it shows just a tick box)
Expected Results
- Published page should show an empty tick box
Actual Results
- Published page does not show anything where the tick box was showing on the Edit page
When an empty task list is added with Collaborative editing disabled, this is displayed in the Source Editor from the Edit Page:
<p>A</p> <p>B</p> <p>C</p>
- no task list when it is expected above
When an empty task list is added with Collaborative editing enabled, this is displayed in the Source Editor from the Edit Page:
<p>A</p><ac:task-list> <ac:task> <ac:task-id>1</ac:task-id> <ac:task-status>incomplete</ac:task-status> </ac:task> </ac:task-list> <p>B</p> <p>C</p>
- empty task list as expected above
This confirms the empty task list is already lost during the Edit when Collaborative Editing is disabled.
Workaround
- Adding a space will show an empty tick box when Collaborative Editing is disabled;
- Alternatively, enable Collaborative Editing which is not affected by this bug
