Atlassian status as of September 2019
We ended support for the WebDAV plugin in Confluence 7.0, and plan to remove it completley in a future Confluence release.
The WebDAV plugin is used for:
- Edit in Office (via the Office Connector)
- Connecting to Confluence using a WebDAV client.
Import from Word and Export to Word are not affected, as they don't rely on WebDAV. The Atlassian Companion app replaced the Edit in Office feature in Confluence 6.11.
End of support means Atlassian will not fix bugs related to this plugin in Confluence 7.0 or later versions.
Feel free to comment on this issue if this change will have a significant impact on your Confluence site.
In case you disable the WevDAV plugin, please note that it will also result in disabling the Confluence Office Connector plugin as well (System Apps).
