Description
Issue Description
In Confluence, users have the ability of adding Jira Issues macro to their pages. This macro, among other functions, provide users with a table view created upon a specific filter provided by the user. Among the columns available for this table, there's one called "Epic Link". The "Epic Link" column is supposed to provide a link to an Epic Issue related to the issue being displayed in the table, however, it is currently pointing to the issue itself, not to the Epic, which is wrong.
Steps to Replicate
- Create an application link in between Confluence and Jira.
- Access Jira and create a project. Now, create three issues and an Epic Issue.
- Relate these three issues to the Epic Issue.
- Now, get back to Confluence and create a page.
- Add a Jira Issues macro to this page.
- Filter it by pulling all issues from the project previously created.
- Add the "Epic Link" column in the table view.
- Save the Macro. It should look like this:
In this scenario, MAR-4, MAR-3 and MAR-2 are regular issues linked to MAR-1 (Epic). As we can see, for these three issues, the Epic Link column is showing Alfa Dogs, which is the name of the Epic that they are linked to.
Expectation on this case would be to:
- Click on Alfa Dogs, which is a link.
- Get redirected to MAR-1 view on Jira, since it is the main Epic issue.
Resolution
Upgrade to Confluence 6.9.1
What's happening is:
- Click on Alfa Dogs on line MAR-4.
- I get redirected to MAR-4 view on Jira, which is not the main Epic issue.
- Click on Alfa Dogs on line MAR-3.
- I get redirected to MAR-3 view on Jira, which is not the main Epic issue.
- And so goes on.
Workaround Steps
At the moment, there are no available workaround steps.
