Editor text selection breaks standard text editor selection practices

When editing confluence docs, triple clicking text does not properly select the current line only (should respect soft line breaks (Ctrl-Enter)). Instead this is often greedy and selects the line before and the line after. I presume this is a bug in the underlying markup.

Also when using a mouse to select a line for formatting the user has to be very precise so as to not capture the trailing line return, otherwise the following line gets formatted as well, even though it was not highlighted as selected.
