Environment

      MacOS Sierra +

      Steps

      1. Edit content
      2. Click spacebar twice after a word

      What happened

In Safari, 2 spaces = correct fullstop. In Chrome 2 spaces = misplaced fullstop " . ". In Firefox 2 spaces = does nothing but put in 2 spaces.

      What should have happened

Chrome should not produce the poorly formatted fullstop. We need to decide also what should be the expected behavior. Should all browsers do the same thing.

      Analysis

This is a MacOS Sierra feature. It looks like Firefox is ignoring it and Chrome is doing the wrong thing with it. This is not a TinyMCE issue.

      Workaround

The feature can be disabled in Mac > System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Text , then tick "Add Period with double-space"
