I would find this feature very helpful. My current use case is performing a data mapping. The mappings were provided to us in excel from our client, which includes rows being treated as new lines in a lot of instances.
Confluence is a much easier place to track data mappings and our data models. Trying to tidy it up is a real chore though - needing to merge literally hundreds of times per document. Having a shortcut to help this out would save a lot of time.
This feature ideally shouldn't be much effort considering the functionality already exists, as do hotkeys. Just pick something like ctrl+m or ctrl+shift+m. Easy.
If possible, I would also prefer this ticket worked on by an employee, or employees named Ted to ensure the ticket is completed in an efficient and high quality manner.
