Customizing Link Color via Customizing Color Schemes does not affect Sidebar links in Spaces

      Summary

      Customizing the Link Color via the Customising Colour Schemes panel does not affect all links in the sidebar within Spaces.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Confluence Administration > General Configuration > Colour Scheme > Edit
      • Change Links to a custom color (#E90029)
      • Save

      Expected Results

      All links should be turned red on all pages-- Dashboard, Spaces, Pages

      Actual Results

      Not all links' colors are changed. If you go to any Space, the page tree will not be affected

      Notes

      • Tested, and does not affect versions 5.8.18, 5.8.16
      • Version 6.0.0-OD-2016.02: Only affect unvisited links. Visited links worked fine.

      Workaround (For Server Version)

      Adding the below CSS to fix the issue:

      • Confluence Administration > General Configuration > Style Sheet > Edit
      • .acs-side-bar a,
.acs-side-bar td a
{ color: #E90029; }
      • Save

      No workaround for Cloud version at the moment

            A fix for this issue is now available for Confluence Server customers.
            Upgrade now or check out the Release Notes to see what other issues are resolved.

            I would like to add my voice to the list of people screaming for a fix that works in the cloud 

            Please prioritize this although it is a cosmetic issue it is still important for us to be able to brand our site properly.

            So this feature is broken since eight months and there is still no fix for it. I could easily live with a workaround like the one for all self hosting customers, but since I am on a cloud subscription I can't use it. Unfortunately one reason why we chose the cloud version was the option to change the color scheme according to the company CD.

            Workaround does not affect all links: in the new dashboard (Confluence version 5.10.3) a selected link on the sidebar is still shown in blue (e.g. "Recently visited"). Adding this in aworkaround css helped:

            .aui-sidebar .aui-navgroup-vertical .aui-nav .aui-nav-selected a

            Please update workaround instructions.

            50% of our users are clients and it is important to us that we can properly brand Confluence (and Jira) to use our company colours. These broken link colours result in pages that look a mess and don't give a professional image. As we work in the sphere of websites it is particularly galling that our clients get to see something so unprofessional.
