Description
Summary
When an attachment in Confluence pages has a newer version, the download link for the older version of that attachment is pointing to the newest version
Environment
- Confluence 5.9.1
- Confluence 6.0 OD
- Last seen working normally (This bug does not exist ) in Confluence 5.7.5
Steps to Reproduce
- Have a Confluence page, edit and add an attachment, save the page
- Click on the attachment. The view file would show up
- On the upper right of the page, click "Uplaod new version" and upload a different attachment than the previous one. Click Done and Exit
- Back on the Confluence page, click on the new attachment and again, the view file whould show up
- On the upper left side, choose the "Version 1" of the attachment
- Click the Download button on the top right
Expected Results
The downloaded file is the Version 1 attachment
Actual Results
The downloaded file is the latest version of the attachment
The link of the download is:
<BASE_URL>/download/attachments/<attachment_ID>/<attachment name>?version=<current version>&modificationDate=<xxxxxX>&api=v2&download=true
Note that the string version would always be "current version", and not the version desired
Workaround
Go to Page Tools (on the top right side of a confluence page) and choose attachments. Expand the attachment that you would like to download and you will be able to choose and download the older version of the attachment
