We have a number of tables that have checkmarks in them . It would be useful to be able to sort a column by symbol or its typed equivelent (

      (/)

      ).

[CONFSERVER-39348] Sort table column by symbol

            Hi!

please add this small but powerful enhancement.

I think it is not needed to describe more: just make it sortable by emoticons too.

The use case is obvious if you provide a sort function at all...

At the large company I work for, we use the emoticons to track  pass and  fail values for our product hypotheses and research in a descriptive and visual manner. It's imperative for us to be able to sort this information.

This is also a workaround since confluence lacks conditional formatting for cells.

In confluence those are actually called "emoticon":
We are using those quite a lot in tables too and it would be really good if tables could also be sorted by those emoticons. Any sorting possibility for those columns would be better than none like at the moment.
