Import Word Document convert slashes into underscores in page titles

      Steps to reproduce:
      1. Create word document that includes the forward slash character in headings:
        Foo/bar

        Lorem ipsum…

        tl/dr

        Lorem ipsum…

        another heading

        Lorem ipsum…

        As a sample, you may attach sample_import.docx into Confluence page.

      2. Click Tools > Import Word Document > Select Level 2 Headings > Import
      3. Result:

      The issue remains regardless of the split level heading you chose or extension (.doc and .docx)

            I would like to use Confluence for documenting REST APIs. REST API documentation includes the REST API URI as the title for each section, as that is how the developers are looking for the information. Can you please take another look at this problem and allow the / to remain in the page title.

            Hi All,

            Thanks for taking the time to raise and comment on this issue. Unfortunately this issue hasn't been updated in the last 1 years and rather than leave this on the backlog I have decided to close this as won't fix. I believe that this better reflects the status of this issue.
            If this issue is raised again in the future we'll re-asses this status.
