Summary
The new Inline Comment feature has a "Resolve" button. It does not generate notifications when clicked
Environment
- Confluence 5.7 and above
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new page and add attachment in it.
- Add Inline Comments anywhere in the attachment. @mention a person in the comment. The mentioned user gets a notification
- As the mentioned user (or anyone else), click the "Resolve" button on the inline comments
Expected Results
As per this blog, (http://blogs.atlassian.com/2015/02/introducing-new-feedback-loop-confluence-5-7), original commenter should receive a notification
4. Close your feedback loop and get it done
The final step in a feedback loop is closing it and letting all your contributors know you’ve incorporated their feedback. You can now resolve inline comments on any page or file to indicate you’ve read and reacted to the feedback. The original commenter receives a notification when comments are resolved. Once all the feedback has been resolved, you’ve completed the drafting process and should have your final draft in hand.
Actual Results
Original Commenter does not receive any notification
