Please make sticky table headers also available in the Documentation Theme.
The Documentation Theme is in use by a large portion of the Confluence user community and preferred by many of them over the default theme.
Major new features should be therefore available in the Documentation Theme as well, as long as it still exists. (and I hope it will continue to exist

[CONFSERVER-37888] sticky table header support in Documentation Theme

The documentation theme was removed as a constraint but I switched the space to use the "Global Look and Feel" theme and the Sticky table headers still do not work in 5.9.6

            Hey Hans,
Sorry about the bounce around from the docs to here, a bit of a mis-communication on my side with Rachel.

Just for some clarity -.it's not really accurate that we're ignoring this feedback from the poll and the blog post in 2012. In the spirit of Open Company, we made the blog post announcement as early as we knew we were going to do it. There was no point holding off informing customers of our intention, there is no benefit in that. Secondly with the poll, we're actually using this feedback to identify what changes we might need to make to the default theme to have some level of feature parity with the doc theme. We aren't sure if we will migrate all the features yet but attempting to consider as much as possible.

So that information coming in is helping us understand how people use this so that we can make decisions about the cost of migration and scope. Obviously it's quite unrealistic to meet every single need but we will be endeavoring our best to try to.

            Hope that clarifies things.

            Sherif

It's highly disappointing to watch how Atlassian constantly ignores the feedback and requests of your CUSTOMERS.

"We love your feedback" (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/2012/12/17/Advance+warning+of+plans+to+merge+Documentation+theme+with+the+default+theme) but you are ignoring the feedback !!

Why do you set up a poll (https://atlassian.wufoo.com/forms/confluence-documentation-theme-migration-feedback/) when you are not really interested in the responses?

(and btw regarding your Jira workflow setup, a "will not fixed" is not a "Resolved". It's a "Rejected" ! )

So I guess all of us Documentation Theme aficionados have to wait for this nice feature until the theme merging is done. The sooner, the better!

            Hi There,
Thanks for your feedback on this issue. Around 2012 we announced our intention to deprecate the documentation theme to provide as much notice as possible. As a result we won't be investing any further in the documentation theme.

We are currently working on some level of feature parity with the default theme and a way to migrate from the doc theme to the default theme.

You can learn more about it here, https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/2012/12/17/Advance+warning+of+plans+to+merge+Documentation+theme+with+the+default+theme and provide feeedback as we work on this. At this stage we might have something before the end of the year.

Please continue to natively support the Documentation Theme - this includes support for the new sticky table header.
We use the Documentation Theme for almost all Spaces and deem it vastly superior to the new default Theme.
