      The Roadmap Planner macro is awesome!

      I'd like to be able to specify how large I want the output on the given Confluence page much like Gliffy or images.

      Thanks.

            [CONFSERVER-36103] Allows display sizes options for Roadmap Planner macro

            Would like to have both the editing window and the final window be bigger. Would also like to be able to choose between having the words in the bar or next to them, if the bar is too short. Otherwise, it's a great macro.

            The roadmap planners are a really nice feature, but it's a bit troublesome to present these without clicking on everything to show the name of a bar. Would love to see this functionality get added.

            If it would even just spread across the page instead of huddling in a little hump on the left, it would be helpful. Could that be a first step? Most things in Confluence can do this.

            It is an awesome feature that would be used a lot if it would be resizeable. In the current form everything is hidden/too small/hard to read, nobody wants to use it, which is a shame.

            This seems like a basic feature for a roadmap. Many orgs would like this feature to utilize across their various departments, divisions, etc. Some in my org do not like Jira/Confluence and lack of fundamental features like this adds fuel to their fire.

            This looks so great when you're building it in the editor, and then you get this tiny output. It can't be that hard to make the macro width and height changeable. Probably most people are just too annoyed to come here and ask for it to be fixed, and they just move on. Atlassian, this would be a super valuable add.

            The commenters on this page solved the problem for you already.

            The roadmap planner is pretty much unusable, as the window is very small. Better take the macro out of the product - at least it won't annoy anyone trying it out.

            For what it's worth, my organization has already started the process of evaluating alternatives. The push to cloud, and the obvious money grab was the final straw.

            It's going to be a big headache, for sure. We use Jira for project management across many departments, but there are a lot of options for non-software groups to manage their tasks and for software management there's many different options as well (eg GitLab)

            I'm sure nobody of the Atlassian team ever checks these "gathering information" issues... but they take our money and more of it - see the server licenses and forcing to move to much cheaper to build and to sell cloud instances - a pure money machine.

            They simply don't care about us customers.

            Here a workaround covering the problems:

            • two-lines for titles inside bars
            • smaller fonts for more informations
            • bigger edit window for creating/editing roadmaps
            • bigger width of roadmaps inside wiki page

            You just have to add this CSS code to your space settings:

            1. Open Space Tools --> Look and Feel --> Stylesheet
            2. Paste following CSS:
            #confluence-roadmap-dialog {
            	max-height: 99%;
            }

            #confluence-roadmap-dialog.aui-layer.aui-dialog2.aui-dialog2-xlarge div.aui-dialog2-content div.roadmap-editor-popup div#roadmap-popup-panel div.roadmap-view,
            #main-content.wiki-content .conf-macro.output-block .roadmap-macro-view {
            	font-size: 12px; /* <-- font size for display on wiki page in read only mode */
            	width: 100%;
            }

            #confluence-roadmap-dialog.aui-layer.aui-dialog2.aui-dialog2-xlarge div.aui-dialog2-content div.roadmap-editor-popup div#roadmap-popup-panel div.roadmap-view div#roadmap-editor-edit-area div#roadmap-container div.roadmap-lane .roadmap-bar {

              padding-right: 8px;

            	width: 99%;
            	height: calc(100vh - 160px);

            bump!

            We need that as well.

            It's SO CLOSE to being a perfect tool for a quick roadmap design, but sadly missing some basic functionalities.

            yes, I am aware that we can get the mouse over the bar to see the detail, but if every bar looks like "design of ...." or "decision for ..." it starts to be silly.

            I want to get my text two times smaller, but see 20 characters instead of 10.
            Also, if I am in the monthly view, and my scope is 4 months, I want these months to be visible as wide as I select, not a fixed size. I don't want to be forced to switch to weekly view (as this is a workaround) because maybe, weeks are not important for my planning.

            Not sure it works for what others need.... however, thought sharing what worked well for our installation:

            Go to "General Configurations" -> "Look and Feel" -> "Stylesheets" and add the code below

            #confluence-roadmap-dialog

            #confluence-roadmap-dialog .roadmap-editor-popup

            #confluence-roadmap-dialog .aui-dialog2-content

            It's very important to be able to choose the height & width. We have a roadmap for the next 15 days. But, the roadmap when inserted just shows 2 small columns ( 1 for each week ). How is anyone supposed to refer to the details of the day to day tasks in such a diagram ??

            BUMP.

            Shit like this drives us crazy with this Atlassian suite.
            You implement a beta level feature and then never touch it again.

            How do you expect people to be champions of your product when it is half baked with features that are half-built?
