When we move Confluence attachments to another page/space, the versions are not tracked.

This is a feature request to save attachment versioning when attachments are moved or copied in Confluence.

            [CONFSERVER-34517] Move Attachment History (version)

Would like to see this feature implemented.

In large Orgs, not all pages are created equally.
In an effort to clean up spaces and streamline knowledge, moving attachments becomes a requirement but losing the history of how documents came to be and the decisions made is a major drawback. Forcing a decision of have an ineffective space and thus people not using it OR losing the history of why things were done in a particular way.

Please make this optional. Since there is no way to bulk delete old versions of attachments, the only practical workaround is to create a new page, move the attachment, then delete the old page. I'll be very sad if you break my workaround!
