It is incredible that featurs like this are not part of the basic functionality. How can Confluence be a proper wiki without fine-tuned settings like this. Sorry, I can't understand it. Notion and all other wiki platforms are way better in this concern.

I need to be able to stop anonymous users from seeing a page's history, it is ridiculous that it is allowed in the first place. It is more ridiculous that this ticket has been open for 10 years.

It would really be useful if the whole Tools menu ... can be disabled (page history, scaffolding history, page information, view hierarchy, etc... ) for anonymous access.

We have a slightly different use case but still require the same functionality.  We'd like to be able to hide the page history, and page view history for privacy reasons.

This is much needed for us too and still not possible in 7.13.2 as it seems. This is very disappointing and annoying. The fixes on the internet or Atlassian Support Forums are not viable since we too cannot see the past editors if we change the page history feature. Please give us a special permission for this.

Don't really want our external customers trawling through the page edits for our knowledge base space, bit unprofessional. Be great to see this feature added.

Seems really easy to be implemented. I can't understand why such a basic feature is not available from the beginning. Maybe there is a 300$ add-on for this on the marketplace, to fix yet another problem which should not exist.

+1 Disabling access to the history for certain user groups would be helpful in order to "hide" content which might have been created in a draft version but should not be seen in the final version.
