    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

At the moment, Confluence is able to display search result of string that is contained inside an attachment with the format of .docx, .doc, and so on.

It would be a great improvement of search functionality if Confluence could search inside the content of .msg attachment.

Hi, This would be really useful to our team at Invesco. Let me know if there's anything you need from us.

Yes, there's still a NEED for this feature.

It's Microsoft Outlook we're are talking about and not a "Humpy-Bumpy" email client which is used by a couple farmes in central africa. And yes, email conversation IS part of documentation. Does this really has to be explained?!

This feature is a business need for our company, too.

The suggestion is more than 2 years old, i s there any information if this feature can be implemented?

            Atlassian,

this issue status is "Needs verification" and the Assignee is Unassigned.

I can verify that the Confluence indexer does not index .msg files attached to pages.

This is a business need for some of our users.

Can you plan this feature or assign this to someone?

It would also be great if Confluence could display the attached .msg file in a readable format. I have many requests for this feature.
