      Hi,

Confluence does not recognize the groups confluence-users and confluence-administrators when trying to share a page. The page share autocomplete does not find the group at all.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Login to Confluence.
      2. Open any page.
      3. Click on Share.
      4. Start typing: conf
--> The list of groups does not include confluence-users.

This works fine for user created groups.

[CONFSERVER-33616] Autocomplete does not find predefined groups when sharing a page

10 years have passed already - holy macaroni .... really?

Added my vote to this as well. We normally use Jira to send out announcement emails, but we recently had a problem with Jira and needed to inform our users of the status. It would have been handy to send out the announcement via Confluence, but this bug stands in the way. We use crowd, by the way.

Another +1 for this! It's really frustrating that you cannot contact all users in one go without either creating a new, duplicate group (requiring duplicate maintenance) or having multiple subset groups.

Why can we not use the existing default??

As far as I can tell, writing up some content and then sharing it, is the only way I have of notifying users of i.e. upgrades and downtime. Anyway, I'd very much like to +1 this.

To be able to share a new blogpost with all Confluence users I had to create another group (e.g. all-confluence-users) and copy all users from confluence-users group to all-confluence-users using REST API.

Functional but ridiculous solution for something that should work by default and moreover it must be really easy to fix!

In big companies this is a problem. Not everybody might be aware of every individual in a specific group requiring the info and if you publish blogs and want to address several groups, i.e., dozens of people it gets very uncomfortable. Please fix this.

This affects data center 6.4.0 as well. Surely this is an easy fix? Why has it taken nearly 4 years up until now, to implement a fix for this?

It has been 3 years!!!! Please do something about this!!! What's the point having a collaborative environment when we can't share information simply via blog posts???
