I would really love to see Confluence get a significant improvement in the status updates fucntionality. Here are the main things:

Include the text box on top of the dashboard. This will allow me to directly type in what i'm thinking/working on.
Rich status updates It should allow links, emoticons, bold, italic and underline.
Improve the interaction by allowing likes and comments.
