Copy&paste Image from Confluence to Word

      Copy&pasteing images from Confluence to Word does not work properly.

      To Reproduce
      1) Confluence: Right click an image from a Confluence content page (view mode) and click "copy image"
      2) Word: ctrl-V
      (across different Confluence, Word and Windows versions)

      Something is beeing inserted into the Word doducment. Though the image is not beeing displayed - just like a placeholder for the image.

      There is a workarround in Word (though it's quite time-consuming...)

      • Start>Insert>Insert Content>device-independet bitmap
      • this will insert the image correctly

       

      Workaround in MS Word 2016 on Windows

      • Right click anywhere on MS Word
      • Under Paste Options select Paste Picture

      The same can also be done by accessing the Paste options on the Home menu.

            In Confluence Cloud v1000.0.0, copied images are not pasted into both Word and Gmail (Mac Chrome) when image & text are copied using regular Copy.

            Images can be copied individually via right-click Copy Image, but that wastes time and it's error-prone.

            We are seeing this issue on Confluence 6.13.5 (server) using Chrome and Firefox.  IE 11 works if you either clear the cache or do a forced refresh (ctrl-F5) of the Confluence page before copying it but there are some Confluence pages that consistently do not copy images appropriately when using Chrome and even if you clear cache or do forced refresh.

            We have a same issue on Confluence Server v6.2.4.  

            I found out that this issue happens to some people, but others can copy image from confluence page to microsoft outlook or word.

            I can confirm this bug (Confluence Cloud). We have it too. Every other Website ist working with copy-paste. Why not Confluence?

            Tried all workaround found here and on the web(including trust center modification in Word) Copy/paste not constant on different configuration and version (OS, browser, office)

            Sometime can paste part of a page including images, but sometimes the same selection is not working (and yes on the same PC just a few minutes later)

            Working better when IE is open in the Confluence site even if doint copy/paste from Chrome, but still no constant even on the same PC.

            At our installation, some are able to copy/paste a png from Confluence 5.10.2 to Outlook 2010 and 2013 while others cannot. They get a blank box instead of the image. Perplexing!

            Has any progress been made on this? Being able to copy a Confluence guide directly into Outlook would be great for our organization.
