Copy&pasteing images from Confluence to Word does not work properly.

To Reproduce
1) Confluence: Right click an image from a Confluence content page (view mode) and click "copy image"
2) Word: ctrl-V
(across different Confluence, Word and Windows versions)

Something is beeing inserted into the Word doducment. Though the image is not beeing displayed - just like a placeholder for the image.

There is a workarround in Word (though it's quite time-consuming...)

• Start>Insert>Insert Content>device-independet bitmap
• this will insert the image correctly

Workaround in MS Word 2016 on Windows

• Right click anywhere on MS Word
• Under Paste Options select Paste Picture

The same can also be done by accessing the Paste options on the Home menu.
