As a user of the Dynamic Task List 2, I would like any task that is added with either a User Mention or Assignment to me to end up in my personal task list.

If i use a standard task list in confluence, the tasks have the ability to show up in my personal task list. This is a great feature, but this task list requires you to edit the page to add a task. The Dynamic Task List 2 is great as I can dynamically add tasks (per its name). But, any task that is assigned to me does not show up in my Personal Task List. Is there a way to make this happen?

Also, it doesn't seem like I can easily do a User Reference using the @ sign like in the rest of confluence, is this something that should work.

This was requested that I add this to support from my Atlassian Answers: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/136639/dynamic-task-lists-don-t-appear-in-my-personal-task-list

[CONFSERVER-31747] Dynamic Task lists don't appear in my personal task list

Thanks for the feedback, Mike. That is something else we've talked about - how we can add more tasks from viewpage.. it is a difficult problem, but one we would also like to tackle.

smansour, I understand. I think this is a real shame as I really like the Dynamic Task List capability. Not having to edit a whole page just to add tasks makes a lot of sense.

We've thought about this for a while in Confluence and we're going to slowly phase out our efforts on the dynamic task list in favour of our inline tasks feature (the tasks you can create form the editor)

To do this we're slowly investing more and more in inline tasks to bring them in parity with the dynamic task list (like due dates and some more advanced features potentially like status etc...)

With that in mind, I'm going to close this issue to set expectations as this isn't something we plan on doing.
