      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      The current upgrade installer starts Confluence automatically after an upgrade.
      However, at least in our case, the Confluence installation contains some modifications (like in the server.xml, setenv.sh etc.). So after every upgrade i have to stop Confluence, modify the configuration and then start again.
      Maybe you could either disable the automatic startup or just ask, if Confluence should be started after the upgrade process is completed.
