Support nested groups in the user lister macro

      Support nested groups for userlister-macro

      Our Confluence is bind to ActiveDirectory.
      Sometime we are using nested groups (A Group within an other group).

      The userlister-macro don't show the users who are member of the nested group.

In order to set expectations, we're closing this request now. Sometimes potentially valuable tickets do get closed where the Summary or Description has not caught the attention of the community.             We have a similar setup (multiple AD + LDAP's with group nesting) but through Crowd before they hit the apps - all with the nesting function enabled -  and I can confirm that the User List Macro supports showing the nested members (and has since ~ 5.x versions).

             

            The only reason I found this issue is that I was looking to see if there was a way to have the User List Marco actually show the nested groups - not just a flat representation of the expanded groups. Appears not  - this was just close based off keywords.

            I was wondering if any progress was done on this one. Status is till "New" after a year, that seems a little odd.
