Copy and paste multiple lines in bullet list does not work as expected in Google Chrome

      Reproduced with Chrome version 28.0.1500.52.

      Repro steps:

      1. Create a page.
      2. Start a bullet list.
      3. Copy and paste multiple lines of plain text in the line by the bullet.
      4. Observe problem: All multiple lines are withing the same bullet point. By pressing enter in the middle of the text, a new line will be added with the right indexation but no bullet.

      This happens only with Chrome. It works fine on Firefox and IE.

            If you are on MacOs, check that this trick has not somehow been applied to your mac:

            • System Settings
              • Keyboard
                • Keyboard Shortcuts...
                  • App Shortcuts
                    • All Applications
                      • Paste and Match Style: Cmd-V

            If it has, consider one of:

            • remove the shortcut override
            • add a new shortcut override for regular Paste (e.g.  option+cmd+V, which is the default for Paste and Match Style)
            • skip the shortcut and paste using the GUI ("menubar -> Edit -> Paste" or "context menu -> Paste")

            Issue as of 3/25/24 - This is near universal in other documentation applications, so this should be reopened.

            As a workaround, paste into google docs and then paste back.

            This is still an issue in September 2023. If I paste a list of items, the entire list is treated as the same object instead of multiple distinct lines of text. It is very annoying to have to manually fix each line. Please reopen and fix.

            Folks... this issue is not resolved. This is basic editor functionality that's broken, and it's painful to use. If you need an example of how it should work, look no further than another web-based Atlassian app, Slack. Please reopen and fix.

            looks like this is still the case, bulleted text do not paste as expected. Confluence is not retaining the format for multi level bulleted text

            Still seeing this behavior.  Can we agree this is undesirable?

            Even in this window when I type three lines each followed by return and then select them all and click the 'Bulleted List' icon I would expect : 

            • Item1
            • Item2
            • Item3

            but I get :

            • Item1
              Item2
              Item3

            I am also experiencing this issue, pasting in a list of 30 items, which I'd like to be numbered, however it only put the number on the first one
