Can't get out of italics in editor after starting a new line

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Enter a paragraph of text that finishes in italics
      2. Hit return.
      3. Type some more text (you will still be typing in italics)
      4. Backspace to the start of this second line (the "i" indicator in the toolbar will go off suggesting that italics are disabled)
      5. Continue typing (text will still be italics even though the toolbar is disabled)
      6. If the user backspaces their text (because they were not expecting italics for some reason) and presses CMD/CTRL + "i" it will enable italics in the toolbar - which is unexpected because they were just typing in italics

      Workaround:

      • If the user again backspaces their text and then presses (CMD/CTRL + "i") twice then italics will be disabled, but this is a bit of a long-winded way to get there
      • select the italic type and CMD + I it.
