We use Confluence 4.3.7 on a https-URL

We have users, that uses an Office 2010 64-bit Version. Those users cannot use the "Edit in Office"-Button. In this case just nothing happens.
If they use a 32-bit Version of Office, everything works fine. This happens for all Office-Files (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, ... )

We have proved this by just uninstalling Office 64-bit and install Office 32-bit without changing anything else. This worked so far on two different PCs.
