    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

This feature is important for the requirements blueprint:

People viewing the requirements index page will want to do things like:

      • Show me just the requirements for Confluence 5.0
      • show me just the requirements where Sherif is the owner and the status is draft.

This could be done via AJAX search (see example at http://screencast.com/t/EIz2v1bugGdq). Another option is to do via dropdown filters in the table heading (example at http://screencast.com/t/0Me4YlL0oI)

[CONFSERVER-29421] Allow filtering on rows within the view mode of the page properties macro

As a long time Confluence user I used to organise all of the company's page using page properties and labels.
Although it is a working solution, I had discovered it is not robust enough and missing some essential capabilities.

This is why we have created Metadata for Confluence Cloud !
It breaks the limitations of labels and page properties for organising pages, lets you configure your own fields with various types, input and query them.
Additionally, it includes a few macros to integrate the metadata inside the page.

Give it a try with a free trial

            Hi

We have the "Table Filter and Charts" plugin. I added the Table Filter on a page with the Page properties report inside. But it doesn't filter (when I just put a simple table inside, it does filter as expected). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Honestly i perfectly understand Michael Roff's reaction.

There is a better commercial plugin that does it a lot better.
But I find being able to filter on the contents of the page properties one of the most important reasons of existence for this plugin.

I would therefor hope that Atlassian either implements this obvious necessity or removes the plugin entirely so that this journey is a lot more intuitive and less frustrating.

I have bitten the bullet and am now using "Table Filters & Charts" plugin.  It's money well spent.

Very powerful filtering options which have fulfilled all my needs (which are many and varied).

The charts look good too.  If you have the budget, you won't be sorry.

Any update on this? We are very keen to see this addition.

Just tested 5.9.9 and unfortunately the filters in the page properties macro aren't yet powerful enough to provide the filtering that I suspect most of the watchers of this ticket are looking for.

I've created a fork of the plugin which includes macro level filtering for text values and Status macro values. Please feel free to offer suggestions, https://bitbucket.org/michalmr/confluence-masterdetail-plugin/commits/2b064a0f3c606c0b7e27f5db0c836f5676300b49.

Is the status of the document (Ad Hoc workflow) automatically included in the properties report table or is this custom? (screenshots)

As Florian Zöllner mentioned the "tabel filter" plugin works. But if you have a lot of entries and they are separated to more pages (1,2,3,4) then the plugins doesn't work as it just filters the current view.

            It would be really useful!

This would be very useful to filter documents of a given status. Once we Archive documents (change status to "Archived") I would like them to fall off from the list when viewing the list from the Page Properities Report Macro. This macro needs to add a filtering option.

We'd also like to see "filtering tables" as a standard macro or feature for property reports in Confluence. Btw. there is an existing workarround for that with the free "table filter" PlugIn/macro that works quite well with any kind of tables (property reports as well). Though, it's not realy nicely designed...

It would also help if the filter could be defined in the report macro directly, so that for example only released docs will be shown

We would vote for dropdown filters in the table headings. We are using this macro for simple status reports and we would love to be able to filter by status (e.g. On plan, Caution, At risk). This would increase user acceptance in management levels. Thanks!

I also miss the ability to only show rows for pages with or without specific labels, and to restrict to pages in a specific page-branch.

This would be a very useful feature. I see that the fix version is set for 5.2, will this definitely be included in that version?
