      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Create a table filled with some text.

      2. Outside and underneath the table, make a line of text level Heading 1.

      3. Delete line breaks between the bottom of the table and the Heading 1.

      4. Save (The (lack of) line breaks between the table and Heading 1 will be maintained).

      5. Go back into edit mode and a line break will be added between the table and the Heading 1.

      6. Save. The added line break will be saved.

This is just one example of many I've experienced where line breaks are automatically being added or removed.

I consider this to be a Major priority because my company has thousands of pages of documentation and this matter of Confluence creating inconsistent line breaks is making our documentation look sloppy.

Unable to reproduce this in either 5.1.3 or 5.1.4 so I suspect this was fixed as part of the 5.0 release. No recent update from reporter so am closing.

            Hi Matthew,

Would you clarify what version of Confluence you are using. It will help us to reproduce the problem and investigate it.

            Thanks,
